A public lecture on the topics of Worldwide Drug Trafficking 2011 and Economic Terrorism was presented by Mr. Rodolfo Peikov on 16 November (Wednesday) at 11:00 a.m. in the UNWE Ceremonial Hall - the two multimedia presentations are available in detail on the IISC website (bulgarian version).

   The meeting with the students and representatives of the UNWE academic community which has become traditional confirmed for the third year the audience's interest in the topics Mr. Peikov dedicates his lectures to.

   As an officer of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with many years of experience, he is able to provide constantly updated information with specific statistical data and many pictures. A number of questions about Mr. Peikov's competence in the areas of terrorism and worldwide drug trafficking as well as about his personal view on Bulgaria's role in combating these negative trends were asked at the end of the meeting.

    The event was organized as a joint initiative of the International Institute for Security and Cooperation, the UNWE National and Regional Security Department and the Center for Strategic Studies in Defense and Security. The lecture was given in English.
